About Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy
The Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy (THISAM) is a leading international program dedicated to exploring the evolving landscape of journalism and communication. It is organized by the Peace Journalism Lab, a center of excellence within the Greek academic community, located in the School of Journalism and Mass Media Communication at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The Lab's commitment to excellence is underscored by its receipt of two Jean Monnet Chairs for European Integration and European Public Diplomacy, as well as research funding from Google's DNI Fund.
Every year, the Lab organizes the Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy (THISAM), in collaboration with major universities and organizations from around the world. This program provides a unique platform for journalists, students, and media professionals to engage with cutting-edge issues and develop essential skills.
THISAM's coordinating team is led by Professor Nikolaos Panagiotou and Professor Christos Frangkonikolopoulos. Together they bring extensive expertise and a passion for promoting informed and responsible media practice.
